IMMIGRATION MATTERS
Role: Director of Photography
Director: Helene Ha
This series highlights the vital and transformative roles immigrants play within Canadian communities, exploring the diverse narratives that shape the country's social fabric.
As Director of Photography, I led the visual storytelling across an expansive cross-country production, traveling from the East Coast to the remote Northern territory of Nunavut. Tasked with capturing both the intimacy of personal journeys and the vastness of the Canadian landscape, lighting for interviews and capturing observational b-roll in a wide range of environments. My role focused on building an immediate, trust-based rapport with subjects to ensure their stories were told with visual dignity and cinematic depth.
